Services / Repair & Recovery

You don't notice the computer until it stops.

Software that won't behave, hardware that quit, or a drive that stopped mounting with the only copy of your files on it. Bring it to the shop on Higuera, or let a technician connect remotely — most software problems never need to leave your desk.

Three ways to get help

01

Remote

A technician connects to your machine as if they were sitting next to you. No unplugging, no drive across town.

02

In-shop

Drop it at 560 Higuera Street, Suite B. Common parts are stocked, so most hardware repairs turn around quickly.

03

On-site

For anything bolted down or business-critical, we come to you — anywhere in San Luis Obispo County.

Hardware

Components fail. That isn't a lifespan, it's a Tuesday.

We work on most brands, types, and models — from a failed hard drive or bad memory to a full motherboard replacement. We stock common parts and use high-end, reliable ones only. If your machine is still under factory warranty, we'll tell you before you spend anything.

Hard drive & SSD replacement
Memory and storage upgrades
Motherboard and power supply replacement
Laptop screens, keyboards, and batteries
Overheating, fans, and thermal service
Diagnostics before any parts are ordered
Software

Software should make your life easier.

Email that won't send, an update that broke a workflow, malware, printers that vanished, or an industry-specific application nobody else will touch. Much of it we can fix remotely, the same day.

Windows and macOS troubleshooting
Email clients — Outlook, Thunderbird, webmail
Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Adobe, Quicken
Virus and malware removal
Printer and peripheral setup
Industry-specific and line-of-business apps
Data recovery

Did the drive crash, or did the files just disappear?

We run state-of-the-art recovery software with a high success rate on failed hard drives, solid state drives, flash memory, USB sticks, and external drives. Bring the device in, drop it off, and we'll give you an estimate before any work starts.

One rule we don't bend: if we can't recover it, we tell you straight and point you where to go next.

Partner

DriveSavers

Software recovery can't help a drive that's failing mechanically — a clicking, grinding, or unspinning disk needs a cleanroom. Those go to DriveSavers, and we handle the handoff for you.

As a partner, we pass along our client discount code on their recovery pricing.

Ask us for the discount code before you send a drive anywhere.
01

Stop using the device

Every extra minute powered on can overwrite what's still recoverable.

02

Bring it in for an estimate

We evaluate the drive and tell you what's realistic before you commit.

03

In-shop or cleanroom

Logical failures we handle here; mechanical ones go to DriveSavers at partner pricing.

Tired of paying for the same repair twice?

Most of what walks into the shop is preventable: no backup, no monitoring, no patching. A management plan catches the failing drive before it takes your files with it.

Bring it in, or call first.

A two-minute phone call often tells us whether this is a remote fix, a shop visit, or a recovery job — before you unplug anything.
